The Hilton Grand Vacations Club on International Drive is a large hotel and timeshare property in Orlando, Florida, located close to the famous Orlando attractions of Walt Disney World, Downtown Disney and Universal Studios.
In addition to the close proximity to the action, the hotel has its own resort amenities, including two pools, restaurants, fitness centers, and a game room.
The Hilton is located at 8122 Arrezzo Way, on the corner of Arrezzo and International Drive, in Orlando. It is next door to Orlando Premium Outlets and a short drive or shuttle ride from the parks.
Getting to Know the Hilton Grand Vacations Club
The Hilton is a large complex with multiple buildings which can be daunting to the first time visitor. Guests pass through a security gate and are given instructions to check-in at the Clubhouse. The complex is built around a small lake, with ten five-story buildings surrounding the water. Parking is located on the outside of the circle.
Because of the way the resort is laid out, parking is sometimes difficult to find near a particular building. Guests will either need to park near another building, or at the Clubhouse. Fortunately, the resort runs golf carts that transport guests around the resort.
Rooms at the Hilton in Orlando
The guestrooms at the Vacation Club are modern and have the amenities that guests would expect at a nice resort. Included are microwaves and refrigerators, big screen TVs and internet access.
Some rooms are suites, and upper floors have screened porches, allowing guests to enjoy a warm Florida evening outdoors without worrying about the pesky insects common in the area. They also provide an additional measure of safety for children, but of course, parents need to supervise kids properly.
Things to Do at the Resort
The staff is friendly, and the hotel provides activity programs for youngsters, and adults can relax with an on-site massage. Units at this Hilton can also be purchased as a timeshare. The walkway around the lake is one half mile and affords nice views of the water and palm trees for walkers and joggers.
Guests can buy tickets to Orlando attractions right in the lobby, and the helpful concierge staff are happy to provide directions and suggestions.
The Club has a full service restaurant, a pizza place, a café for breakfast and lunch, and a long bar at the main pool area. The nearby area has plenty of other choices, including fast food for the budget conscious family. The hotel is completely non-smoking and is not pet-friendly.
